Counts update as sources are re-checked. Dates are recorded per listing observation, so the 24-hour figure is by recorded observation date. A recorded home is not necessarily still available; see each listing's status.

The space beyond the walls

For some of us, the best part of coming home is stepping outside. We don't necessarily need a mansion or a farm. We need a way of living that gives us some choice, a connection to nature and enough space to be ourselves.

01

Privacy, not isolation

Space to reflect without necessarily losing connection to friends, services, work and community.

02

Land as part of daily life

Room for trees, gardens, habitats, workshops, animals, creative projects or simply unstructured time outside.

03

Enough, rather than excess

A modest three-bedroom bungalow on a beautiful small plot can be exactly right. A higher price and more bedrooms don't automatically improve a life.

04

Useful facts, honestly labelled

We separate what a source actually says, what geography and code can calculate, and what remains an estimate or an unknown.

05

Reasons to think twice

A road behind a hedgerow, a public right of way, flood exposure, high running costs or a difficult commute may matter as much as a lovely photograph.

A NECESSARY DISTINCTION

Land you own is not land you see.

We will never treat neighbouring open fields or attractive views as if they were part of the property's title or guaranteed to remain unchanged. A smaller owned garden in a generous natural setting can still offer something special.

Our goal is to help you find a home that supports the life you want, not to manufacture a desire for something larger.

READING A PROPERTY CARD

Small symbols. Useful detail.

The symbols over a photograph highlight reviewed physical features. Hover or focus to see a label, then select a symbol to read its meaning, dated evidence and source.

A quick guide to the details.

An illustration of the controls, not a property listing. Try a symbol to find its explanation below.

The separate bookmark control on real listings saves a home to your private board.

Home types at a glance.

Category icons help you recognise a home type while browsing. The text label gives the meaning; a category icon is separate from a reviewed feature badge over a photograph.

  • Smallholdings
  • Houses

  • Equestrian properties
  • Houses with annexes
  • Houses with large gardens

Finding your bearings.

The small compass beside a national or county flag shows its broad position within Great Britain: north for Scotland, south-west for Cornwall and Devon, west for Wales and the western counties, and east for Lincolnshire and Norfolk. These are approximate geographic cues, not directions from your location or navigation bearings.

Woodland
Woodland recorded as part of the property, rather than trees or woodland in the neighbouring scenery. This does not certify title boundaries, access or felling rights.
Outbuildings
One or more separate buildings recorded at the property. Condition, services, habitable use, conversion and business permissions need separate checks.
Paddocks
Paddocks recorded as part of the property. This does not establish secure fencing, grazing capacity, equestrian facilities or permission for a commercial use.

No symbol means not recorded, not absent. We only show a feature after its evidence is marked reviewed. A source-backed observation is not a title survey or a guarantee of present condition. Saved-board symbols reflect current reviewed evidence; the saved price and other details remain snapshots.

Flag artwork.

We use local SVG copies of national and county community flags. The artwork is unchanged; each file keeps its own licence and attribution.
